Common questions
What grind size should I use?
Start with a medium-coarse grind. If the flow is too fast or the coffee tastes weak, try a slightly finer grind. If it stalls or tastes overly intense, go slightly coarser.
What drip rate is recommended?
A useful starting point is about 7-8 drops every 10 seconds. Adjust gradually to match your coffee, grind size, and preferred flavor.
How long does cold drip brewing take?
There is no single fixed time. The total brew time changes with the amount of coffee, ice and water, grind size, and selected drip rate. Monitor the flow and keep it slow and consistent.
Can I use both ice and cold water?
Yes. You can use ice, cold water, or a combination of both in the upper chamber. Avoid overfilling beyond the chamber’s maximum capacity.
Do I need a paper filter?
For the recommended method shown in the instructions, place a filter paper over the coffee bed to help distribute the water evenly. The reusable stainless steel mesh underneath provides the main filtration.
Why is the finished coffee volume lower than the listed chamber capacity?
The listed capacities are maximum vessel capacities. Coffee grounds and ice retain or displace part of the water, so the final serving volume will be lower.
How should I clean the brewer?
Disassemble and rinse the brewer soon after use. Hand wash with mild detergent, avoid abrasive cleaners, and let all parts dry completely before reassembly.
How should I store the finished coffee?
Enjoy it immediately or transfer it to a clean, sealed container and refrigerate promptly. Serve over ice or dilute to taste.
